    This puppet program was designed to help children and adults learn about disabilities and chronic illnesses in an effort to bridge the gap between typical students and those with disabilities included in the classroom.

 

  • Disability Awareness Game
    This is a computer-based classroom game from Parents Inc. that may be used to present different disability awareness ideas in a classroom situation. It is designed to generate discussion based on the many misconceptions people have about disabilities. The target audience for this game is 5th grade through high school, although it can be successfully used with lower grades and adults.

  • Disability/Probability Interdisciplinary Project
    The objectives for this project: the learner will be introduced to and conduct research into individuals with disabilities; library research and a formal oral report will be conducted by cooperative groups; the learner will listen to a speech from a disabled individual; the learner will study and gain an appreciation of how a diverse number of cultures deal with challenged individuals; the learner will conduct probability analyses based upon the incidence of certain disabling conditions.

    This company provides educational puppet programs which enlighten all children on the issues of disability awareness, medical/educational differences, and social concerns.
